Girlschool is a British heavy metal band originating out of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene in 1978. Girlschool is still active after more than 35 years making them the longest running all-female rock band. Hit and Run is the band's second and most successful studio album released in 1981.
Hit and Run was ranked number 289 in Rock Hard magazine's book of The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time.
