The Rolling Stones, considered by some to be the greatest rock and roll band still in existence, have just celebrated their 50th anniversary. This legendary rock and roll band from England has been indomitable force on the music scene through the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and into the twenty-first century. The band set a standard for live performances that few bands have reached and is an achievement that has defined the Rolling Stones from the group's beginning at the Marquee Club in 1962. The Rolling Stones have won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Frame.
Made in the Shade, released in 1975, is the third official compilation album by The Rolling Stones. It draws entirely from their first four albums on the Atlantic Records label. The album features many of he Rolling Stones' biggest hits and, as might be expected, has gone platinum.
