Rainbow (also known as Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow or Blackmore's Rainbow) was a British hard rock band formed in 1975 by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. Blackmore was one of the original members of Deep Purple. Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath are considered the forerunners of heavy metal rock.
On Stage is a double live album originally released by Rainbow in 1977. It was recorded live over several German and Japanese dates in late 1976 during the Rising world tour.
