Framed Vintage Record Album Cover –In the Pink - James Galway & Henry Mancini
Henry Mancini was nominated for an unprecedented 72 Grammys, winning 20. Additionally he was nominated for 18 Academy Awards, winning four. He also won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for two Emmys. On April 13, 2004, the United States Postal Service honored Mancini with a 37 cent commemorative stamp. The stamp (Scott catalog number 3839) shows Mancini conducting with a list of some of his most famous movies and TV show themes in the background and was painted by artist Victor Stabin.
Mancini's best-known works include the jazz-idiom theme to The Pink Panther film series ("The Pink Panther Theme") and the theme to the Peter Gunn television series.
Sir James Galway OBE is a virtuoso flute player from Belfast, Northern Ireland, nicknamed "The Man With the Golden Flute". Among his many honors and awards are; the Grammy President’s Merit Award; Classic Brits Lifetime Achievement Award; The Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame; The National Concert Hall Dublin Lifetime Achievement Award, and numerous gold and platinum albums and CDs.
