Framed Vintage Record Album Cover β The Leprechaun - Chick Corea
Chick Corea, along with Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner and Keith Jarrett, has been described as one of the major jazz piano voices to emerge in the post-John Coltrane era. Many of Corea's compositions are now considered jazz standards. As a member of Miles Davis' band in the 1960s, he participated in the birth of the electric jazz fusion movement. In the 1970s he formed Return to Forever. This band had a fusion sound and even though it relied on electronic instrumentation it drew more on Brazilian and Spanish-American musical styles than on rock music. Chick Corea has been nominated for 59 Grammy Awards and won 20.
His album The Leprechaun was recorded and released in 1976.
